wondering how to best fund your trip? If you are bringing cash to exchange, make sure its crisp, clean bills in large denominations. lets jump right into it:

  1. money exchange kiosks such as superrich in Bangkok, see current exchange rates for superrich here. Double and triple count your money before walking away, bring nice crisp large denomination bills and your passport.

  2. ATM machines, just make sure to chose the local currency option and let your home bank cover the exchange rate. if you have high atm fees at home then max out the withdrawal at 30,000baht (depending on the bank/machine)

  3. Thai Banks, safe, secure and competitive rates when exchanging big bills. You may be able to do a cash advance on your card but it will be at the banks discretion. passport required.

Depending on where and when you land, you may have no alternative but to exchange a little bit of cash when you first arrive at the airport, no big deal just exchange a small amount to hold you over until you can make it to a mall for an exchange or a bank. 7-11 is a great spot to break up the 1,000 baht bills as many market vendors and street sellers wont be able to make change.
